We at BollywoodLife revealed to you the reason behind Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s wedding being preponed from December to June this year. And here’s some EXCLUSIVE news about their shift of their wedding destination. Shahid and Mira were to get married in Bali this year in presence of close family and friends. However a source revealed that the destination has now changed. Our fair-feathered friend said, “The families have decided against having the wedding in Bali. They will instead choose between Istanbul or Greece now.” Well, looks like the couple will make their wedding vows by the Bosphorus river or then may be in the backdrop of clear skies and Acropolis of Athens. In either case we like the couple’s choice of place. Also considering that both Greece and Istanbul have pleasant weather conditions in June unlike Mumbai or Delhi or for that matter even Bali, which is pretty warm in the month the couple is planning to get hitched.

Vishal Bhardwaj's ‘Haider’, an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s famous dramatic masterpiece Hamlet, has swept six awards out of eight nominations in the technical awards category at this year’s International Indian Film Festival (IIFA). It was announced in Wednesday.

The critically acclaimed film, a yet another adaption work from Vishal Bhardwaj, has won the highest number of awards at India’s’ premier and most prestigious international award function. Haider won a total of 6 technical awards including:-

Costume Designing (Dolly Ahluwalia)

Background Score (Vishal Bhardwaj)

Sound Mixing (Debajit Changmai)

Sound Design (Shajith Koyeri)

Production Design (Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray)

Makeup (Preetisheel Singh and Clover Wootton)

The film Haider starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead with Shahid playing the leading role of Haider has already won national award. The story though is an adaptation of Hamlet it has been executed in keeping with the sense of aesthetics and creative sensibilities of the Indian audience. The film has already come across as a huge box office hit. Both Shahid Kapoor and the film Haider have received much adulation and recognition from the critics.

Aside from Haider, Kangana Ranaut starring successful film ‘Queen’ has bagged two awards at the IIFA. The two awards won are for Screenplay (Vikas Bahl, Chaitally Parmar and Parveez Shaikh) and Editing (Anurag Kashyap and Abhijit Kokate)

Ghosh, who has worked with Shahid in all his three films - "Ishq Vishk", "Fida" and "Chance Pe Dance", said the actor was never supposed to be a part of his forthcoming movie.

Shahid Kapoor has begun filming for his next Udta Punjab, which is directed by Abhishek Chaubey and also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.

Calling it a tough, tough film, Shahid tweeted, “Scariest part I have played yet have no clue how I’m going to get it right. Wish me luck guys”.

The film is about the drug trade according to producer Vikramaditya Motwane, who told PTI, “Udta Punjab is a story of four different people merged together. There are four different stories and four different perspectives. It is set in Punjab and talks about the drug scenario. It is the first Hindi film to deal with the issue.”

He added, “Udta Punjab has a brilliant script. When we read it, we decided to produce the film at one go. All the four stars in the film are brilliant.”

The news of Shahid Kapoor to get married to Delhi-girl Mira Rajput caught everyone by surprise. Millions of hearts wept as the shattering was heard across the fanbase of the star.

This time the rumour mill is abuzz with the date of their impending nuptials. Earlier it was said that the couple will tie the knot in December. But now a second option of June 10 is being contemplated by the families of Mira and Shahid.

Actor Shahid Kapoor has spoken out on rumours about his wedding plans and has confirmed that he may be finally settling down by the end of the year.

At an awards event held here on Thursday, Shahid was asked if he has got engaged.

To that, he said: "I am not engaged, but what you have been reading is kind of true. Marriage is on the cards sometimes towards the end of the year and I think that's all I can say."
